How to book:

-Before booking a session, please make sure you have gone through my work to see if I would be a good fit as a mentor for you.  I work with senior girls only (please be aware that our model for the mentoring session may be a junior OR senior) with available light and on location.

-I highly suggest emailing me before you book if you have a particular date/time in mind for your mentoring session.  I will have week days and weekend dates available; however, they will vary from month to month.

-If you are ready to get started, please click on the link below to book and pay for your in-person 1-on-1 mentoring session!

Where will the mentoring session take place?
The mentoring session will take place at a predetermined location within the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  My goal with the 1 hour consult before the mentoring session is to get to know more about your own style and find out if you have a preference of where to shoot.

What should I bring to the mentoring session?

Any camera gear that you would normally bring to a shoot:  camera body, lens(es), CF cards, additional batteries, reflector (please note, I vary rarely use a reflector but that does not mean you can’t use yours!); notebook for taking notes, jotting down ideas, questions you might want to ask at our 1-hour post-session phone chat; and a great attitude!

Are there any proximity restrictions/limitations?

No!  Living in a large metro area means that there is more than enough business for everyone!

What do you shoot with?

I shoot with a Canon 5dMarkII and typically carry the following lenses with me:  50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8 and 135 2.0L.

What do you use for editing?

I work almost 95% of the time in ACR and the remaining time I will use Photoshop CS6.  Please be aware that my style of editing (very clean and minimal processing) can easily be translated to Lightroom.

Why professional hair and makeup for your seniors (and the mentor models)?

I’m a firm believer in getting things right before you click the shutter, this goes for everything from tweaking a pose, fixing fly-aways, pinning back clothing, and even hair and makeup application!  Getting it right in-camera will drastically reduce your post-processing time.  My clients LOVE getting pampered during their makeup session since many of them have never had their makeup professionally applied!

How many different outfits will a model be able to get in during our session?
We should be able to squeeze in 4-6 different outfits which will give you a huge variety of images to walk away with!

What happens if there is inclement weather?

I will be checking on the weather starting a week before the scheduled mentoring session.  We live in an area where a 10% chance of rain can turn into a full on thunderstorm with zero warning so being aware of the weather is extremely important to me.  I will say that in my years of shooting, I’ve only had to cancel a session once due to weather and it ended up being a beautiful afternoon…go figure!  As photographers, we have to be flexible as well as accommodating and I will do my best to make sure our session goes off without a hitch.  If you are local, hopefully rescheduling will not be too much of a problem.  If you are coming in from out of town, we will work together once you book to come up with a backup plan just in case we need it.

Will you travel to my city?

At this time, I do not offer out-of-town in-person mentoring.

Can I get a group of photographers together to do a mentoring session with you?

Absolutely!  I will take a small group of up to 3 photographers.  Please email me for pricing.

How many in-person mentoring sessions do you offer per month?

Sessions are very limited as I am only offering 1-2 in-person mentoring sessions per month.

This all sounds great…how do I book?
