I’ve never been a cold weather fan but this fall was welcome. Fall to me means trees changing colors, cool and slightly windy days and sweatshirts. It always puts me in a pensive mood, like a time of reflection and I always think about how I could have enjoyed each passing day a LITTLE bit better. But I know my heart is full regardless if I think I could have been a better mom, wife, daughter, housekeeper, photographer, etc. So to celebrate fall and to take advantage of the day, we finally got some falling leaves and I took my son out to enjoy them. He was in heaven!

I couldn’t be more pleased with the pictures I got of my son this past week. The locations, the clothing, the sweet little boy…all came together EXACTLY as I had envisioned. He is not the easiest little guy to get pictures of but he did just swell, especially for being 5 and wearing his fall/winter clothing when it was 85 degrees outside! I’ve got another few locations to test out this week, along with some more handsome outfits!

Photog Meet-Up

October 7, 2009
I got together with several other North Texas photographers recently and we had a blast getting to use our skills on our little models. Other than a few accidents involving cactus and fireants, it was a great time!! Here are a few of my faves from the meet-up:

Oh my goodness! The hair! The freckles! The eyes! I loved photographing this kid!

The backlighting was so pretty at this time of day…doesn’t it just scream “FALL”?

This little sweetie had to be bribed with Smarties but it was all worth it!

These twin brothers were full of energy and so funny but the minute you pointed your camera at them, they were SO serious!

I just love the mood captured here!
