Yikes, didn’t mean for the blog hiatus to last as long as it did!  Lots of new stuff going on in our household and balancing sports almost 7 days a week for our (now) 6 year old plus Kindergarten and then getting seriously sick…it’s been CRAZY!

Brianne is a senior at Allen HS and oh my gosh, if there was ever a look-alike for Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Brianne would be it!  Even though fall has now set in, I can tell you that on the day we shot Brianne’s pictures it was so incredibly hot and humid out that I thought I was melting!  Yay for fall!

One of the things I love providing for my seniors is the opportunity to get your make up done by a professional make-up artist! Donna Cooper is who I have teamed up to provide this amazing service (this service is included when you book a session!) and her work is so beautiful each and every time!!

Donna strives to make you look natural but with a magazine-finish. Most of my senior work where the clients have gotten their make-up done have very little editing done to them because Donna just does such a fantastic on the front end!

I asked her a few questions so my seniors could learn a little bit more about her!

1) How long have you been a make-up artist?
I’ve been a make-up artist for nine years.

2) How do you decide what make-up would look best for the senior? I like to conduct a personal evaluation of the client, investigating their skin type, issues/concerns, and their personal style. That helps me to create a unique custom look of their very own for their shoot.

3) What should senior girls expect when they get their make-up done by you? They should expect a great time, and to feel beautiful and pampered when complete, while picking up some excellent tips of the trade along the way!

4) Is there a product you can’t live without? The one product that I can’t live without is Laura Mercier Foundation Primer! It seals in any moisturizers that are placed on the skin, and creates a beautiful canvas for makeup to adhere to. Not to mention, it helps your makeup look smoother and perform well all day, or under extreme conditions.

Seriously girls, the make-up is such an awesome addition to your senior portrait experience! I just had my own make-up done by Donna last week and it was an incredible time. I couldn’t believe the tips I picked up from her and when I used them on my own, the difference was amazing!
