As a parent, I totally get the frustration of trying to get a nice photo of your family. It’s like herding cats to get everyone in one place and let’s not start on having them at least ALL look at you! It is no different for a photographer either…we like to call it “Photographer’s Child Syndrome” (aka PCS). My child scatters like the wind when I bust out my camera.
The good news is that most of the time, a child will pay attention to somebody other than their own family when it comes to direction. I don’t aspire to be a posed traditional photographer. Instead I want relaxed looks and genuine smiles. If that means Dad and the boys need to wrestle, then let’s do it!
