Archive for November, 2009

I hope every one had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We had a very enjoyable one this year full of friends, family, food and football.

I am especially thankful for these two brothers that I got to photograph this morning.  Just like I expected boys of this age to be, they were full of energy and had plans of their own.  Their mom had the best styled outfits for them and man, was she prepared!

Here are a few sneak peeks of your boys, Julie!  I can’t wait to share the rest with you later this week!  Oh and J has some cool moves for sure!

Always a Challenge…

November 23, 2009

As a parent, I totally get the frustration of trying to get a nice photo of your family.  It’s like herding cats to get everyone in one place and let’s not start on having them at least ALL look at you!  It is no different for a photographer either…we like to call it “Photographer’s Child Syndrome” (aka PCS).  My child scatters like the wind when I bust out my camera.

The good news is that most of the time, a child will pay attention to somebody other than their own family when it comes to direction.  I don’t aspire to be a posed traditional photographer.  Instead I want relaxed looks and genuine smiles.  If that means Dad and the boys need to wrestle, then let’s do it!Amii Wroblewski Photography - Denton PhotographerAmii Wroblewski Photography - Denton PhotographerAmii Wroblewski Photography - Denton PhotographerAmii Wroblewski Photography - Denton PhotographerAmii Wroblewski Photography - Denton PhotographerAmii Wroblewski Photography - Denton Photographer

Another Meet-Up

November 22, 2009

I really enjoyed getting to meet up with a few other local photographers.  It’s always a great time to relax, shoot and talk “shop”.  Here were a few of my faves:

I’m so excited to have a new home for my blog!  A huge thanks to Nancy Lary with Monkey Tails for designing my blog for me!  It is still a work in progress so don’t be surprised to see changes here and there.

To celebrate the official start to my new blog, I will be holding a contest and it couldn’t be easier!  Leave a comment from today November 15, 2009 through Friday November 20, 2009 (will close at 11:59pm CST) and you will be entered to win a $250 credit good towards gift prints!  Oh and the best part?  This can be used in conjunction with my Casting Call!!  I must be feeling crazy-generous…this time of the year always does it for me!

I will announce the winner on November 16, 2009.  Your portrait session must take place by November 30, 2009 in order to use the print credit.  This offer is only good towards A La Carte gift prints.

Even if you don’t win, still check out my Casting Call details!   There are only a few more weeks left to take advantage of the Casting Call special!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Casting Call!!

November 9, 2009

I announced on Facebook last Friday that I had a Casting Call that I was getting ready to launch and it is here! Read below for the details!

Casting Call!

Who: Open to newborns, babies (preferably 6-9 months or only sitting or standing on their own), children (especially 6-12 year olds), teens, seniors, engaged couples, families, maternity (must be between 34-36 weeks). I’m also needing casting call applicants that are willing to be dressed appropriately! Please contact Amii on what to wear. The more outfits you bring, the more variety you will have to choose from when it comes to your images!

What: NO session fee ($200 savings!) and NO minimum to purchase (usually $500 minimum purchase!). I am offering ALL collections at 30% OFF and all canvases are BYGO HALF OFF! The session is for up to 4 people, there will be a $50 fee per additional person at the session.

Where: Outdoors within 20 miles of zip code 75077 – I have several locations from which you can choose.

When: Session must take place by November 30, 2009. Contact Amii for available dates/times.

Why: I’m looking to try out some new locations and some different techniques and that means YOU win!

How: Sessions last between 1-2 hours, depending on the mood of you and/or your family! Small children may only last 1 hour and that is fine! Newborns typically last from 3-4 hours to allow plenty of feedings, soothing, cuddling and sleepy time! Please understand that if you are late to the session, you are cutting into your session time and it will NOT be made up. No rain checks can be made.

NOTES: Please note that even though there is no obligation to purchase anything on your part, you WILL be required to sign a Portrait Contract and Model Release before your session date. Failure to do so will void your scheduled date/time and will NOT be made up. I’m looking to add images to my website, blog and my marketing material and that is why I require a Model Release!

Please email me with any questions, inquiries about dates/times available, etc. Once you book your date, I will email you my price list, model release, policies and portrait contract. I will also let you know about “What to Wear” to make your images the best they can be!
